Seeking a JAVA/J2EE Desktop Application Developer

We are currently seeking a JAVA/J2EE desktop application developer who can succeed in a dynamic work environment where priorities change based on current business needs. Deadline driven project assignments and our iterative approach to development processes require a professional with excellent communication skills. Candidates must have experience working with Java, JEE, EJB, and Swing. Familiarity with the Eclipse IDE, JEE and OO design patterns, JBoss, and Delphi is also highly desired.

Primary Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and unit test Java/JEE components for an internal desktop application.
* Analyze business requirements, documentation and technical specifications in conjunction with existing MIS staff and internal customers / user community.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* Two or more years of Java programming experience
* Two or more years of JEE experience, including knowledge of Enterprise Java Beans (EJB).
* Experience developing Java desktop applications using SWING.
* Experience using the Eclipse IDE and JBoss.
* Experience using Delphi a plus.
* Working knowledge of SQL
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to be flexible and work well in a dynamic team environment
* Self-motivated and self-directed
* Strong attention to detail
